World Languages Coordinator Austin Independent School District K-12 Teaching experience: 8 years Twitter
More about me:Bonjour! I was born and raised in southern Louisiana and am a Cajun through and through. I grew up speaking French both at home and in an immersion program. As an immersion student, I was afforded many amazing opportunities, the most important of which was being part of a movement to preserve the Cajun culture and use of French in Louisiana. I have a B.A. in French Studies from Louisiana State University, where I was a member of the Golden Band from Tigerland--GEAUX TIGERS! I have an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Austin, and completed my administrative work through Stephen F. Austin State University. I've taught a variety of subjects in public, charter, and private schools. My favorite subject, of course, is French because it combines so many of my passions: culture, history, and mathematical thinking.
